Passion for nature and animals: subjects like old trees, stonecircles and waterfalls are sources of inspiration for Marjolein. Her love for animals is expressed in her wildlife art and petportraits. The common thread in her arts is her search for depth behind the beauty of her subjects. Deeper than appearances: mystical landscapes, its silence and light. In her 'wildlife art' she is inspired by a sense of 'innocence' and purity of animals. Also by encounters, the character of an animal or its funny physical appearance.
